Programs such as MOMMAS House help ensure that society does not have the burden of lifelong multi-generational welfare; rather, successfully empowers them to provide for themselves and their families.

Actively participating in the community…

by attending school, working, banking, shopping, and interacting with neighbors significantly reduces isolation and bolsters self-esteem. Familial connections are formed, and these young families begin to build support systems on their own.

Our graduates have gone on to work in law enforcement, education, the nursing field, real estate, etc. The effect of sustainable employment and stable living environment on an individual progressing out of homelessness, is quantifiable.

 
 

We partner with local employers, job training professionals and placement counselors to help residents secure sustainable employment. Our homes are equipped with computers to help with job searches, job fairs, and vocational opportunities. Our job readiness curriculum is powered by volunteers from various professions and includes: Job Search Strategies - Resume Writing - Reference Building - Interview Preparation - Dress for Success - Networking - Time Management - Conflict Resolution - Teamwork
