Virtual 5K/10K Race
Join our 40th Anniversary Virtual Run/Walk Event!
MOMMAS House is proud to host our first Virtual 5k/10k race! We are honoring co-founder Pat Shea's 85th Birthday kicking off on January 5, 2026. This year is also the 40th Anniversary of MOMMAS House!
How it Works:
Set your goal and register.
Start training!
During race week, choose one day to run between January 5 and 11, 2026.
On your selected race day, track your run as you complete your 5k/10k.
Upload results via online submission form or via email by January 11, 2026 11:59pm EST.
Congratulations on joining our 40th anniversary virtual race!
What is a virtual event? A virtual race is a great way to be active by walking or running on your own time from any location you choose. Participate at your pace and time your race. Feel free to invite a group of friends/family to join you at the local gym/park/trail or track and support a good cause.
North Shore Pops Christmas Concert 2025
Join us for a selection of Holiday Music performed by the North Shore Pops Concert Band. Free Will Offering for admission, all donations to benefit MOMMAS House Mother-Child Residences. Refreshments served and Raffle Prizes available to win.
The Parish Center is a separate building located directly behind St. Agnes Cathedral.

Champions for Charity®
Champions for Charity® at Americana Manhasset
Join us for the 30th year of Americana Manhasset’s Champions for Charity® holiday shopping benefit, taking place December 4 – 6, 2025. Help support MOMMAS House by doing your holiday shopping at participating Americana Manhasset stores during these three days and 25% of your pre-tax purchases will be donated back to us!
To register for your CHAMPION NUMBER or for more information, visit championsforcharity.org or visit the Americana Concierge Tuesday-Saturday from 10am-5pm. You can designate MOMMAS House to be the charity your shopping benefits. When it’s time to make a purchase, simply present your CHAMPION NUMBER. Donations will be made on full-price merchandise only, subject to individual store policy. Donations on participating store gift certificates and special order merchandise are subject to individual store policy. Product exclusions apply.
Holiday Toy Drive
MOMMAS House is now collecting toys to distribute to families in need this holiday season!
We typically supply gifts to about 75 FAMILIES each year. We can't do it without the support of our community!
We have plenty for out babies, toddlers and younger children - but we are lacking in gifts for the older children (8-16 yo). Wish Lists include a lot of Marvel characters, Transformers, sports equipment, gaming / tech, robots, stem and educational toys for elementary aged, Hello Kitty, Roblox, Squishmallows, Legos, fidget / sensory toys, art supplies and gift cards to Walmart, Target, Amazon, Gamestop, BestBuy.

There are a number of exciting ways that you can support MOMMAS House through this event:
Tickets: Purchase discounted tickets through MOMMAS. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold via this link will go back to the MOMMAS House.
50/50 Raffle: MOMMAS House will benefit from 50/50 Raffle sales for the game on March 4. If you are attending the game you can purchase 50/50 tickets in person from Islanders and MOMMAS volunteers who will be positioned all around the concourse at UBS Arena! Raffle sales end at the conclusion of the second period intermission.
Can’t attend? 50/50 raffles will be available for purchase ONLINE from March 2 - March 4, ending approximately 9:25 pm on 03/04/25. So set a reminder for yourself to buy during this time!

This location houses both our Main Office (please update your contact list) and our Transitional Housing Program: MOMMAS House flagship program since 1986. In this program the young mothers and their children may live in MOMMAS House for up to two years while they work towards individualized goals to help them achieve self-sufficiency and prepare them for independent living.
DIRECTIONS: 3100 Hempstead Tpke, Levittown, NY 11756. Located on the campus of St. Bernard’s Church - you can find us in the former Convent building, at the FAR BACK, right-hand corner, of the large parking lot behind St. Bernard’s, opposite the Nassau BOCES school.
