Independent Living Skills

Teach a mother to fish and her family will eat for generations

Such is the case when a mother finds worth within herself. Possessing life skills is critical to a young woman progressing out of poverty and advance her social and economic well-being.

MOMMAS House offers 16 monthly life skills classes and partners with local businesses, individual volunteers, and groups including government agencies, banking institutions, and religious organizations to provide life skills training. We empower young women, allowing them to use their voice and build self esteem, social acumen and community.
