Academic and Vocational Programs

MOMMAS House understands the unique challenges young women who are pregnant or raising a child face in school. Without support, many are forced to dropout, are discouraged to continue their academic career and simply do not know how to get back on track. Education has been and will always be the first way out of poverty, especially for young single mothers. Studies show that students with a college degree or certification have fared far better than those who either left school before graduation or earned only a high school diploma. By providing access to education, we can leverage opportunity… 

Strategic Partnerships

MOMMAS House has developed collaborative relationships with academic and vocational programs on Long Island which enable residents to reach employment goals. Here are just some of the programs we partner with:
